The LP3874EMP-2.5 is a 0.8A fast ultra low-dropout linear regulator operating from a +2.5V to +7.0V input supply. Wide range of preset output voltage options are available. This ultra low dropout linear regulator responds very quickly to step changes in load, which makes it suitable for low voltage microprocessor applications. The LP3874EMP-2.5 is developed on a CMOS process which allows low quiescent current operation independent of output load current. This CMOS process also allows the device to operate under extremely low dropout conditions. The applications of the LP3874EMP-2.5 include: (1)Microprocessor power supplies; (2)GTL, GTL+, BTL, and SSTL bus terminators; (3)Power supplies for DSPs; (4)SCSI terminator; (5)Post regulators; (6)High efficiency linear regulators; (7)Battery chargers; (8)Other battery powered applications.
